Moving The Old Dude’s Junk Part 1
About 6 years ago my dad (“the old dude”) sold a house he owned in Lilburn, Georgia. He asked me to store his stuff at my house until he needed it. Six years ago I thought he wanted me to store it in a storage place… but no, he thought I would keep his FULL 3 Bedroom house in my very full house with 7 bodies in it.
After six long years he is ready to have his stuff back. Wednesday ABF freight dropped off a huge tractor trailer at my house.
My kids thought this thing was a fabulous place to play. Here is #2 through #5 messing around.
#2 likes to change the warning signs on the truck. I’m not sure what #3 is doing here. It looks like she’s kicking him in the head. I’m sure she would say something different.
um.. ok
Here’s #1.. she loves to be photographed. I believe she said; “You better not put this on your blog.” I said: “Huh?” and smiled…
Ok.. sure.
This is my favorite sign.. What are Dummy Gladhands? and why are they on this trailer?
#5 gives the double thumbs up ..
Vidalia Onions = Heaven
I should start this blog out by saying.. this should probably go on my cooking page.. But these are so good.. and kind of unusual so I’m home paging it!
Every year my father (Georgia Native) sends me a box of Vidalia Onions. We (the family and I) look forward to it every year.
I would be lying if I said my family did not get excited when these arrive.
Some people might be saying.. “What are you going to do with 20lbs of Onions?”
Besides use them in every day cooking.. I can make:
Salisbury Steak with Onion Straws..
Garlic Potatoes
Z-Man Pizza
Or
Just some Onion Rings..
If you would like some of these Onions.. check out http://vidaliaonion.org
Just for The Man
The Man and I don’t always agree on things. You know.. like cleanliness, toliet seats, toothpicks… politics. You see he’s a conservative…. He never told me that before we were married. In fact he didn’t vote until he met me. I am a moderate. I want to give each side a chance.
The man usually comes home from work with some kind of crazy comment.. like “keep the change” etc.
SO.. while in the Wal-Mart parking lot this morning I saw this.… and thought of the man.
Who knew Time Out was SO CUTE?
This morning my baby.. aka #5 smacked the bajeebus out of his older brother #4. He did this all before he even dressed himself or ate breakfast.
Anyone that knows #5 would say he’s not really a fighter, BUT (ha.. that’s a joke) this morning he just lost his cool.
Right here.. he’s getting pretty mad at me for taking his pictures. I know.. I’m probably a bad mother for taking these picture, but his skinny little legs are so cute.
I better list some stuff on eBay to pay for his therapy.
