Keim Bakery Ottawa Kansas: A little slice of Heaven

kiem8
I’m always looking for a quiet place to write my article. The man thinks I should be able to write it at home. I laugh each time he says this (I think he forgets we have children)
kiem5
I’ve been to Keim Bakery several times to eat their yummy cookies.
kiem3
They have LOTS of cookies.  Even GLUTEN FREE.

Cute Pencil cookies

I bought some of these for the monkeys as a back to school surprise.

#2 loves these bad boys.  A maple bacon long john. He says it
would be perfection if it was filled.

But on this day… I went in to try a cheeseburger and fries….

kiem1
This cheeseburger and hand cut fries… did not disappoint me.
It was so good! Properly seasoned.. and the bun! HOLY SMOKES
The bun was baked THERE!

When it comes to pricing, it’s not the least expensive place to eat in
Ottawa, but it is well worth the money.  I would highly recommend
stopping in for a cheeseburger, and a donut or a piece of pie.
Seriously.  It will make you happy.

Wanna try this place?

Stir Crazy Fresh Asian Grill

Stir Crazy Fresh Asian Grill

Creve Coeur,MO63141

The Man and I went to Saint Louis for a "nerd" convention.  We found this place in

Creve Coeur Missouri (just outside of Saint Louis).

The place is decorated pretty funky.. I love this giant shrimp between two chop sticks!

Did I say I love this shrimp? It hangs in the air…

The Man order Kung Pao Chicken ($8.99) (it came with a spring roll and the yummy sauce).

I asked the man what he thought.. he said; "It's pretty good".  He's a man of few words..

probably because he married a woman with quite a few words. :)

I had the Mongolian beef ($8.99). I ordered it without mushrooms and added water

chestnuts.  They had no problem customizing my meal for me.  The meat was easy to cut

with my fork, and the sauce had the right spices.  My only problem? I wish it had just a little

more sauce on my rice.

Even Traveling Batman loved the meal!

He had issues with the chop stix though.. Don't you love red chop stixs?

McDonald’s Angus Burger.. Pretty Darn Good.

I have a secret.. don't tell anyone.

I love McDonald's.

A very long time ago, I worked for McDonald's not in the stores, but in the a franchisee's office in Camarillo, California.  Working there was one of the best experiences I ever had.

#1 asked no.. begged me to get her a Caramel Iced Coffee.  While going through the drive-thru at our local McDonald's in Ottawa, KS, I saw this:

(You should know I love a good cheeseburger)

This is what the Deluxe Angus Burger packaging looks like…

Here's the packaging next to a double cheeseburger.

Here's a problem… I took a bite BEFORE I photographed it.. It really looked that good to me.

I like the little paper wrapper they put it in so the goo doesn't drip all over you.

I really love the sandwich.  If you like McDonald's.. I think you'll love this

new Angus burger.  If you are like The Man… it's going to take something more

to impress you.  So until McDonald's starts serving steak.. I'll have to go to

there with my kids.

Look.. this girl needs to stop eating angus burgers.. and start walking the treadmill.

See that weird thing on my right hand?  Here's the scoop…. Plastic Ring
