What the French Toast?
What the French Toast?
Whatever you do… Don’t tell IHop that I don’t like pancakes. I used to like them until a very unfortunate incident where I ate a bazillion Peanut Butter Pancakes in about 3 minutes… and the hurled them all OVER my very up-tight fathers Florsheim Tassel loafers. Since then I really don’t eat pancakes.
Suzie’s What the French Toast
You can double or decrease depending on your need.
1 loaf of French Bread sliced in 3/4″ slices
4-5 eggs
1/4 C Milk
3 TBLS Vanilla Extract
1 TSP Cinnamon
(Powdered Sugar to sprinkle on at the end if you want to be fancy)
(milk not pictured.. OOPS)
Slice French Bread into 3/4inch slices.
Mix together eggs, vanilla, milk and cinnamon. Once mixed, get your griddle or pan heated. I like to spray PAM or some other kind of cooking spray on my griddle first.
Dip your bread in the egg mixture, and flip to coat both sides.
I don’t leave the bread in there very long, because I don’t want to make it soggy.
Flip the French Toast over and cook on the other side.
I keep my french toast warm on a cookie sheet in a 135 degree oven while I cook the rest of it.
I forgot to put some powdered sugar on these.. but these were still really good…
I'm not a chef. I'm not professionally trained in anything (except eBay). I do love to cook for my family. The food you'll find here is stuff I make for my family. I hope you will find something here you will want to make!
