Sometimes We Get a Second Chance… to Blow Some Stuff Up!
We were rained out on Sunday (see HERE).. but Monday night was
perfect night to blow a few things up. We didn’t get to go to my
friend Tammy’s, but the city of Ottawa had a “Blow Up Make Up” party.
What’s a party without a little drama? #4 was not happy about something..
I think some one took his chair..
By the looks of this picture #5 had something to do with it.
Maybe it was this kid.. he’s not related to me.. but he should be
OH.. are you and your family doing that Volkswagen “punch” thing?
If you are here’s a free one for you.. Silver one!
It was starting to get dark.. and we broke out the glow sticks.
This kid is using his for a halo..
They can also be used as hair sticks..
Just in case you were wondering.. #4 perked up after the glow sticks
came out.
Happy Fourth of July!
Maybe it’s Because They are Homeschooled…
I think my kids have a pretty good imagination. It seems like
every day they have a different costume or game they are playing.
I have NO idea what #3 is doing here.. she has
on a blanket, with this little sweater clip thing
holding it together. Oh.. and let’s not leave out
the red and blue swimming noodles.
#5 is sporting a black grosgrain ribbon around his
head, a polka dot handkerchief, foam shield and sword,
camera bag or purse or um satchel, and a Boy Scout Weeblo pin.
I probably shouldn’t leave out the super cool sleeveless
Spiderman shirt.
Here you can see what I think is the sweater clip..
OOh.. and I believe the Sponge Bob pajama pants
with her brothers “House of Jesus” t-shirt on completes the look.
In her defense, she was the bad guy to her brothers
“Super Hero” games they were playing.
I like to thing they are this creative because they are
homeschooled.. or maybe they just look homeschooled
because they are so creative.. Either way it does my heart
good to see them using their imaginations.
Grade “A” Mother
Painted by Brad Bunkers see it on ETSY
**note to The Man.. I want this painting.. You should buy it for me
I’ve had an interesting childhood. I would never say it was bad, because I believe that everything that happens to us in our life makes us who we are… and except for a few pounds, (and some small personality defects) I wouldn’t change much about who I am or who I’ve become.
I say this because sometimes I miss having a mother. I was fortunate enough to have two mothers. One that gave birth to me and took care of me until I was six, and another that adopted me. Neither of them are in my life currently. Sometimes like today, that makes me sad. I would love to share my life with my mother. I would love to have a mother to mentor me through all of this stuff in life that overwhelms me sometimes. I would love to have someone to share how fortunate I am to have 5 children (that I never thought I would have). I would like to have someone to give that painting to. But for now.. I will feel blessed that I am a mother and that I am apart of 5 very unusual lives.
#3, #2, #4 (their fat mother) #1 and #5
