You Dirty, Dirty Fan

My laptop isn't exactly new. In laptop years it is pretty old. It is used constantly and without it I would be lost. About a month ago it started getting hot and shutting off. I called The Man to let him know of my problem. He diagnosed (without even looking at it) as being a "dirty fan." I asked him if he'd fix it that night and as usual he told me "Just remind me." When he says this I always think.. "what am I doing now?"

A month went by and it shut off a few other times.. and the above conversation happened a few more times.

Then I got lucky.. and it just happened to shut off when he was home…

I didn't really believe his diagnosis, after all he hadn't even looked at it… But Check out how dirty that fan is! (You know you've always wanted to see how dirty my computer is…) Please don't judge my dirty fan.. this has nothing to do with how clean I keep my children or house.. 😉

When I started dating The Man, my mother grabbed me by both arms, looked me square in the eye and said; "Suzie he can FIX things! Do you know what that means?" At the time I didn't really.. because well I grew up without someone who could fix stuff… so I had no idea of the benefit.

My mother would be proud, The Man is showing #2 how to clean the fan on a laptop. Maybe just maybe he'll be someone's man who could fix things. I hope that girl will know how lucky she is. 🙂

Happy Birthday to The Man..

It's Optimus Dad..

Today is The Man's birthday. To celebrate him I thought I would put up a few of my favorite photos of him.

#4 and #5 participating in the pinning of the head of the household.. a festivus tradition..

Caption on this picture is… "Woman PLEASE!"

This is #2.. and his SUPER LONG tongue. I was trying to take a photo of his dad.. and he kept sticking his tongue out in front of my camera lens. See his dad?.. He thinks that's funny.

A Glimpse of the American Royal

A couple of weeks ago The Man and I won tickets to the American Royal Rodeo. (Thank you KOFO 1220) The American Royal is a month long agricultural-FFA-animal show-BBQ-rodeo festival.

The Man and I waiting for the Rodeo to start..

Before the rodeo started we checked out some of the exhibits. I'm slightly

afraid of horses. The man here.. not so much. I was pretty sure this horse

was going to break down the pen and bite his hand off. As it turns out..

the horse was pretty nice.

PIG RACE! Check out the girls in the blue cowboy hats. They are really

into this race!

Ever see a pig swim? You should check out Swifty!

This cow would not stop MOO-ing.

What I really want to say is.. "That is nipple number 5, a good dairy

cow should have like 4. (one of my favorite lines from Napoleon Dynamite.

I liked these white cows.. but my friend Claire says that white

cows are dumb and I should only like Angus cows.

Cows aren't usually this clean and fluffly looking. This cow (along with

the others at the Royal) have been washed and blow dryed.

I think this is one of those Angus cows Claire was talking about.

The rodeo was great.. I always slightly freak out at the bareback

riding. They seem like they are thrown around a lot.

The bull fighters.. fighting a bull…

The Budweiser Clydesdales even made an apperance at the rodeo!

We had a great time.. Thanks so much to KOFO for giving us the tickets.

Tires? Really She’s Talking about Tires?

Tires… tires have been totally kicking my behind here lately.

The Man and I have had our fair share of tire problems lately. His front tire blew this week. He put the donut on.. and it blew a few short days later. He has a pretty common car.. but unbelievably we have to order his tires.. and they won't be in for a week!?!?

Thursday we discovered my tire is low.. took it in to Walmart (where we bought them) and they say it has a cut and it can't be repaired. It should be covered under the "tire hazard".. but neither myself nor Walmart can find our paperwork 🙁 Tires.. you can't live with them.. and you can't live without them..
