1.  Wrisley Saddle Club Shaving Soap sold by theeastmanclub for $102.00

Here’s what the seller says about it:

Up For Auction is a beautiful vintage bowl of Wrisley Saddle Club tallow shaving soap.

Wrisley Saddle Club is re-branded Yardley tallow shaving soap. Wrisley and Yardley tallow soaps are prized for their rich, lubricating lather and unparalleled performance. Aside form the imprint and the bowl design the two soaps are the same in composition and performance.  Soap has never been used and is in mint condition. The Wrisley logo imprint is clearly visible.  The bowl has a few minor scratches and chips but is in great condition.  Yardley and Wrisley Saddle Club are becoming harder to find every day. A unused bowl in such condition is especially rare.

2.  Vintage Colgate Doll’s Tea Party Soap sold by mistergn31 for 89.99

THE TALC TIN IS ABOUT 2 1/4 INCHES HIGH. I HAVE ADDED ANOTHER PICTURE OF THE INSIDE BOTTOM OF THE BOX SHOWING THE COLGATE’S BUILDING……..ALSO FORGOT TO STATE THAT THE LID FLAP OF THE DENTAL CREAM IS NOT ATTACHED.

3.   Flintstones Hanna Barbera Pebbles Soap sold by pezdudewelch for $79.99

4. Vel Gentle Skin Care Soap sold by  zogssoap  for $60.00

Here’s what the seller says about it:

This buy-it-now style auction is for 8-Vel Gentle Skin Care Bars. It is dermatologist test, and the packaging reads “…for soft, smooth skin”. The bars are 4.5 oz. This item has been discontinued on store shelves. We will combine shipping on multiple items.

5.  Vintage White Shoulders Soap sold by krazygit for $41.05

Here’s what the seller says about it:

Feminine scent possesses a blend of classic florals including gardenia, lilac, amber, oakmoss, and jasmine. White Shoulders is classified as a refined, flowery fragrance The box is in great condition and the soap is still sealed. This bottle did come from an Estate, not sure of the date.

Many people (myself included) can’t imagine people paying good money for a button… but they do!  Here are some examples why selling old sewing buttons are a good thing to sell on eBay.

This is a lot of 5 extra large authentic Chanel metal buttons with the CC logo on the front and a cartouche on the backs that reads “Chanel CC Made in France”.  These are approx 1 and 1/8″ in diameter and lean toward 1 and 3/16″ in diameter. They are nice bright buttons with metal shanks.  The condition is excellent.  It is very difficult to find 5 of these in a nice large size.

This is a beautiful collection of mother of pearl buttons!  The pictures just don’t do them justice!  Buttons range in size from 1/4 inch to 1 3/8 inch. Almost all of the buttons have carved designs, with the exception of the decorative buttons in photo #11.  There are lots of beautifully carved large buttons – rare.  Interesting snowflake design – photo #7.  There are over 200 buttons in this lot!

A few years ago I  bought this at a local charity thrift store.  I think I paid .25 cents for it.

It is Estee Lauder Private Collection Body Powder.  It sold (to someone in Dubi) for $179.00.

The economy has changed, and I wondered what scented body powder is selling for currently…
