strange wire flowers

Check out these crafty flowers. I've never seen flowers made with

these wire things.

Occasionally I'm asked to come look at people's stuff either to sell it for them or tell them what to do with their stuff. I was called last week to do this very thing. I didn't know what to expect.. and unfortunatly I didn't take very many photos.

The Man went with me.. and he snapped a couple of photos in the kitchen….

Here it is from another view.. I bet they had over

  • 500 salt and pepper shakers..
  • 200 cookie jars
  • 300 pinbacks or buttons
  • 500 magnets
  • 3 rooms she hadn't even gone through yet.

I wish I would have taken photos of all of the rooms…

Auction Finds.. 8-17-2010 Edition..

Monday I went to Strickers Auction in Gardner, Ks.  They had lots

of great stuff there.

beaded purses, vintage items

They had lots of “ladies junk” there.  You know beaded purses..

Jewelry and  stuff like that.  See that green arrow.. pointing to the

green felt with jewelry on it?  That sold for $220.00.

That big glass case along with the 2 tables behind it.. were FULL

of rhinestone jewelery.

I think this cabinet came straight from Rob and Laura’s house..

you know The Dick Van Dyke Show?  OOOH ROBBB!

I wanted that bucket.. SO BAD.. not to sell. Just for me 🙂

I didn’t get it :\  I wasn’t willing to pay 12.00 for it.. I

know.. I know.. I’m cheap right?

Just in case you were wondering what’s on that sign…

Here’s what my friend Ron bought.. Not the book.. just the purses.

He bought some other stuff too… I never know why he brings a

book when he sits next to me.. You know I talk to him until

his ears fall off :).

Here’s my haul… please excuse the dirty car..

I just might keep that pine cone pitcher.

Not a bad haul huh?

An Evening at the Auction

I went to an auction in Wellsville last night.  Here’s my evening in photos..

Here’s an overview of the stuff before the auction started. Do you see the

red arrow?  That’s #2  checking the place out.

Here he’s using the phone to see if we should buy this or that..

They had lots of jewelry, but most of it was damaged or missing

rhinestones.  Here’s what I did bought!

I bought this flat because of  the leather wallets.  Some guy wanted to buy

a couple of them from me while I was paying.. but I said no..

I bought the green Tonka to display in my kitchen with my other green

stuff… but everyone thinks I should sell it.  Silver measuring cup

is mine 🙂

Here’s an overview.

Bavaria covered dish and some Nippon cups and saucers.

I did get my plate I wanted!  Do you see the milk glass pendant light?  It’s old

and pretty cool.  The linens are for me too.
