Elvis Has Entered the Building..

Since our sweet French Mastiff died a few months ago, my kids have been bugging me to get a new dog. I did a few weeks of research and we found this sweet dog..

We are told he is a Boxer-Bull Terrier Mix. His name was Remy.. but we re-named him Elvis. He really just seems like an Elvis to us.

Last Sunday we headed over to Mission Pet Connection to see if Remy um.. Elvis wanted to come home with us. This isn't a great photo.. but this is the family waiting for our first glimpse of our new puppy.

#2 with the then named Remy…

#4 playing with Elvis

He's cute huh? He always looks like he's smiling.

Here's #3 and #5 begging for Remy Elvis.

Elvis has fit in to our family pretty well. The degus and cats aren't too crazy about him.. but the kids love him. The first night he slept with #5.. which he does every night until #2 goes to bed and then he crawls under the covers and sleeps with his head on #2's pillow.

He likes to lay on the rug in the kitchen and drool (seriously) while I cook. He's super active, and isn't sure who to follow in a family of 8. I watch him lay down on The Man's feet after dinner and Elvis looks at me as if to say; "Thanks for picking me."

Someone is Going to Need Therapy

I have several issues, which I will blame on… well… let's not point any fingers. ANY WAY.. I like vintage clothing.. and I like babies… to mix the two is bliss.

You may or may not know that this hat is on upside down.

You should also know the photo is slightly blurry because I

could not stop laughing.

I think he looks like a somewhat feminine knight…

You think this is funny too, right?

I don't think he does… We are putting money away for counseling .

In Honor of Festivus…

I love Seinfeld. I never watched it much when it was on regular TV… but we watch it every night now. If you are a Seinfeld fan, you'll know that yesterday December 23.. was Festivus….

Homemade pizza

Festivus starts with a non-holiday comfort food.

We chose pizza. I made 4 different pizzas. We had Canadian bacon,

a thin all meat, pepperoni.. and a deep dish all meat with sweet

onions on top. After or during the meal there is the "airing of

grievances". This is where each person tells everyone else

all the ways they have disappointed them over the past year.

After the non-traditional meal, there is the "Feats of Strength". This is where

people challenge the head of household in a wrestling match. It ends when

the head of the household is pinned. You can get out of challenging the

head of household ..if you have something better to do.

The only people that would challenge the head of household

this year was #4 and #5. It didn't go so well for them. The

head of household was not pinned… It was a FESTIVUS MIRACLE!
