Garage Sale Day….

Today was Garage Sale day in Ottawa, Kansas…  Here's my day.. in pictures…

UM.. HELLO.. most awesome intern ever!

This about the 5th garage sale we hit.  I was so depressed after all the duds we had seen.. I didn't really want to go up and look at what they had to offered, of course #1 will go look at ANYTHING just to check to see if there is anything good.  She's good to have around 🙂

The number one thing I saw at every garage sale?  DVDs.

The Nazarene Church Youth Group had a sale.

I love old cookbooks.. I didn't buy any of these though…

I stepped into this VERY interesting man's garage and he immediately said, "You the eBay Queen?"  I reluctantly said, "Yes, kind of."  He said; I've got something to sell you!… and showed me this:

It's a Ice Fishing Rod and reel.  Pretty cool huh?

First Day of School Cookies

We have a local bakery in Ottawa that we love… and for the last couple of years I started buying the kids a first day of school cookie…

#6 didn't wake up in time to get his picture with the group.. but he still likes a good cookie from Keim Bakery.

If you are ever in Ottawa Kansas.. stop by Keim Bakery… they have good cookies… and really good cheeseburgers.

Dance Recital..

It's been a very frustrating year for dance.  #3 LOVES to dance, and normally she is in 4-6 different dances, but this year the studio that "bought out" the studio, that "bought out" the studio she had danced at her entire life.. could not seem to get their act together. I could write so many things about how horrible this year was.. but that would take away from how beautiful #3 looked.  If one of your children want to dance, check out the studio.  If the owners worry more about their policies than the students.. take them somewhere else.  If the owner talks negative about a parent in front of the students.. take them somewhere else.  We will be going somewhere else next year for sure.
