A Personal Plea to The Man..

Dear The Man;

I really want to go to the Johnson County Fair tonight.  I know.. I know.. you’ve been at work all day, and it’s really hot.  I am in desperate need for some fair food.

fair food, corn dogs, I love food from the fair

We can take photos of our kids eating corn dogs.. and well, I can eat one too!  You know there will be some kind of BBQ there… and tonight’s the rodeo…

PBR bull riding, rodeo clown

We love rodeos.. I promise that we will not ride any of the fair rides…   So what do you say?

You know you want a funnel cake!

Love Always…

Your Favorite Wife.

Strickers Auction is the place to be on Monday Nights

Strickers Auction is a great place to go and watch people. Oh.. and of course it’s an auction too.. so you can buy all kinds of stuff there. I think half of my house was decorated or furnished with stuff from Strickers.

This auction house is pretty unusual. They have two auction rings running

at all times. One on the outside and one on the inside.

Yes.. I bought some stuff in this area.. but the doofus I am.. I didn’t take

photos of it 🙁 There was a lovely Smith Pineapple Punch bowl that I bid on

and let go.. 🙁 I should have bid it up higher. It was perfect.

Hot Tub? Forklift? Dog Carrier? anyone? anyone?

Really they have anything you could ever want here.

This is the back room. I bid on that Jason telescope and the cattle head thing

(I didn’t win them)

Here’s a view from my seat (before the auction starts).

There’s Ron the auctioneer. He is one of the FASTEST auctioneers

I’ve ever seen. He’s ruined me for all others.

I hate sitting around waiting at an auction. With Ron, it’s always moving.

Anyone need a washer? I think they had 8 that night!

One of my favorite old signs at Strickers.. They have a disco ball too..

But I forgot to take a photo of that.

If you know me very well, you know I take photos of my food.

This is Tammy’s polish sausage.

Here’s #2’s Frito Chili Pie.
