Festivus a Holiday for the Rest of Us…

We've been celebrating Festivus for a few years now.  If you don't know what Festivus is…

#4 and #5 getting ready to challenge the head of household in feats of strength.

Festivus is a holiday celebrated on December 23 as an alternative to participating in the pressures of  the holidays.   Festivus became part of popular culture after being featured on an episode of  Seinfeld in 1997.  The holiday's celebration, as it was shown on Seinfeld, included a Festivus dinner, an unadorned  "Festivus pole," practices such as the "Airing of Grievances" and "Feats of Strength", and the labeling of easily explainable events as "Festivus miracles."  We pretty much celebrate it just to have fun with the kids… and so I can hear The Man say at dinner, "I have a real problem with you people!"

Here's #5 challenging his father..

It's not looking good for the boys in the "feats of strength"

#4 looks like he's going to pounce!

It looks like he's going down!

The Man is bring out some old Hulk Hogan wrestling spin.

It appears.. The Head of Household won again this year!  It's a Festivus Miracle!
