Pinterest Photo Challenge Day 13: Something I found

Today's Pinterest Challenge is: "Something I Found."  I went to Marshall's and while I was there I went to use the ladies room.  Except the Ladies room looked like this:

This is fine if it's only a "1" person bathroom.  This one is not. I tentatively went in, and no one was in there… but while I was.. well.. you know… someone came in with a little girl.  I heard the little girl jabbering along.. and I heard someone turn on the sink.  When I was finished with my business, I came out to wash my hands too, and there right in front of me was a cute little girl.. and her father.. ACK!  I tried to act like it didn't freak me out.. but it did a little. 🙂

I talked to the little girl, smiled and opened to the door to leave, and as I was leaving, another dude was coming in!  I'd like to think I'm super progressive… but it was a little strange.  🙂

The One about Going to the Mall

Friday #3 and I ran some errands and did a little shopping.  Part of that shopping was at Oak Park Mall

I rarely go to the mall any more…. mostly because of time.  To me if you say "I'm going to the mall"  it's an all day experience.  I only wish I had all day to spend at the mall….

I had an agenda yesterday..

  • Mardel's to pick up church stuff
  • Macy's to return shoes and look for clothes for #4 and #5
  • Hobby Lobby to pick up some wood letters that the dumb dog chewed up
  • Children's Place – Jeans for the little boys
  • Old Navy- boots for #3 and jeans for the boys
  • Target- groceries and miscellaneous junk

We got some great deals at Macy's at Town Center Plaza in Leawood, KS.  (Town Center isn't an enclosed mall.. but an open shopping center.)  I thought if we got good deals there.. maybe it wouldn't hurt to go to the mall and check out Macy's there.

Once we got there, we were accosted by people who wanted us to buy stuff from them.  Not the normal "can I help you". .. or "would you like to try this perfume" at the perfume counter.  These were SERIOUS salesmen.  Hocking their curling irons, flat irons, massage therapy machines, teas, nuts and lotions.  By the time we were ready to leave the mall, I was spending MORE time trying to avoid the people selling stuff in the middle aisle of the mall than actually looking at stuff to buy.

It was pretty bad. I felt like I was the only person wanting to buy a car on a used car lot. Have you had this experience at the mall?  It will make me think twice before going there again.

A Day with #4

I needed to run some errands and pick out fabric for #3's Christmas dress. I gave her instructions to be up and ready.. she wasn't… so I took this kid..

In case you wondered.. pepperoni pizza is pretty much his favorite food. When he is older he wants to own his own pizza shop called; "Big Daddy's Pizza."

He tried to convince me to buy his good friend Caroline all of this K State

stuff.

He was pretty sure that it was a lucky day.. because EVERYWHERE we went

we saw a nutcracker. I tried to explain to him that it was Christmas.. and

nutcrackers were popular gifts and people liked to display them. But

in true 7 year old fashion… he thinks it was lucky.

If you've seen this Target 2 Day Sale Video You'll understand

what he's doing in this photo….

If you haven't seen the commercial.. he's imitating the woman

doing sit ups.. preparing for the Target Black Friday sale. He's

a strange little kid.. but we love him.
