People love these Starbucks City Mugs. If you are out at

a garage sale or even sometimes a Starbucks.. grab one.. they sell

on eBay!

and the listing says it’s “expired”. Maybe they went dumpster diving to get this.

It’s New Years.. and I need a Cocktail Dress!

The Man and I do the same thing every New Year’s eve… we go out early for dinner (usually on the Plaza) walk around shop a little, drink some Starbucks then bring Cheesecake Factory dessert home to eat with the kids. A nice night.. not to eventful. When I was growing up, I thought I would go to a BIG.. MONSTER.. New Years Eve Bashes.. you know the swanky kind that last all night.. and you spend the night in a posh hotel? The Man is not that kind of “celebrator”.. he’s more of the “let’s grill some steaks and watch TV at home” kind of guy. So this blog is really me dreaming that I need a cocktail dress for New Years Eve.

1. Black Silk Vintage Cocktail Dress. This has a criss cross waist and super full skirt. To see it go here. It’s being sold by Etsy seller Millstreetvintage.

2. Greta Garbo Black long slinky dress. Wow.. I don’t know if I could walk in this.. but I would love to try. Check it out here. It is being sold by mnemosynedesigns.

3. Gucci Runway Evening Dress Brown Purple graduated color. See it here. This fabulous dress is being sold on eBay by: 88caviar

4. Brown Duponi Silk Dress. This dress is hand made by Olivestyle on Etsy. I thought I wanted it in red… but I fell in love with the brown. Check it out here.

It’s the Venti things in Life that Make Me Happy..

Back in July we walked into Starbucks and found the new insulated tumblers that look like the Starbucks cold drink glasses. I use that glass every day. I love it. Here’s that blog. I only wish it were a Venti and not a Grande. Venti is the Large 20oz and Grande is the Medium 16 oz. Imagine my surprise to walk in to Starbucks only to find they have CHRISTMAS insulated tumblers!

I was so excited when I saw this.. I almost kissed the

Barista. It’s weird how little things like this can

make a girl happy.

Back in Spring/Summer

these bad boys (with the green straw) were selling

for around $80.00 each on eBay! The current

Christmas cup is all over the place in price.

Happy Birthday To Me…

Today is my birthday.. I have mixed emotions about my birthdays. I mean I’m thankful to be here another year.. but I’m not amused about being older. I know.. I know some people say it means something to be older.. but to me I think our society makes people of a certain age irrelevant. I have felt irrelevant the majority of my life.. so it’s a shame NOW that I finally think I understand some of it, only to find out that I am thought of as irrelevant. Does that make sense?

Enough with my wining.. lets see what was going on here today…. The cutest thing happened last night, #4 slept on the floor in my bedroom so he could be the first to tell me Happy Birthday.. How sweet is that? I took ALL of the monkey’s to lunch today and we ran a few errands… I don’t know why I didn’t take very many photos of that…

I went to dinner with a few friends to celebrate my birthday.. and to celebrate our church’s Christian Ed Director (she’s awesome) 🙂
