The Best Laid New Years Plans

Mr. Eads and I decided to go to the Bull Bash Rodeo in Topeka this year as our New Year’s Celebration.

This is our official picture.  We took quite a few to just get this one.

The rodeo was good.  We had a late lunch and thought on New Year’s eve it would be easy to find a open restaurant to eat at.  There was nothing.. so we ate at….

Quick Trip

The Man posing at his diner of choice..

This is an artsy photo of my all beef hot dog.

Maybe it’s our age.. and we are just not made for selfies.

You want to Make a Memory… Try Again

I really wanted to take a photo of The Man and I at midnight on New Years eve.  You know.. to have a memory of us on the cusp of 2010.. Here is what happened..

Wow.. we got an ear and an eye..

Better except The Man looks like he took some NyQuil or Unisom

a half hour ago.. and my eyes.. well, they look bloodshot!

is this better? I don’t even know.

NyQuil has taken effect..

Look at his face!  Distrust has come between us.. and I don’t even

know it.  (the wife is always the last to know) 😉 These were the best of our

“midnight together photos”.  You know we should have just asked one of the

other 8 people that were in the house with us that night to take our

picture… anything would have been better than this.

Speaking of photos on New Years Eve…………………….

We went out with my “Mon ami” from high school and her man.

Luckily before we left for dinner at PF Changs.. We snapped some photos

together..

Not bad.. the man looks like he was taken by surprise.. and well..

I look like a midget even though I was on my toes and Mon Ami was

bending her knees.

Here’s the perfect New Year’s Eve Midnight Photo..  I asked

why he took it.. he said; “I’ve always wanted a photo of myself

upside down”… um OK #2..

It’s New Years.. and I need a Cocktail Dress!

The Man and I do the same thing every New Year’s eve… we go out early for dinner (usually on the Plaza) walk around shop a little, drink some Starbucks then bring Cheesecake Factory dessert home to eat with the kids.  A nice night.. not to eventful.  When I was growing up, I thought I would go to a BIG.. MONSTER.. New Years Eve Bashes.. you know the swanky kind that last all night.. and you spend the night in a posh hotel?  The Man is not that kind of “celebrator”.. he’s more of the “let’s grill some steaks and watch TV at home” kind of guy.  So this blog is really me dreaming that I need a cocktail dress for New Years Eve.
