My church throws baby showers for each new baby born or adopted in our church. I never thought about them throwing a baby shower for a super old woman with a 6th child on the way..

I love Seinfeld. I never watched it much when it was on regular TV… but we watch it every night now. If you are a Seinfeld fan, you'll know that yesterday December 23.. was Festivus….
Festivus starts with a non-holiday comfort food.
We chose pizza. I made 4 different pizzas. We had Canadian bacon,
a thin all meat, pepperoni.. and a deep dish all meat with sweet
onions on top. After or during the meal there is the "airing of
grievances". This is where each person tells everyone else
all the ways they have disappointed them over the past year.
After the non-traditional meal, there is the "Feats of Strength". This is where
people challenge the head of household in a wrestling match. It ends when
the head of the household is pinned. You can get out of challenging the
head of household ..if you have something better to do.
The only people that would challenge the head of household
this year was #4 and #5. It didn't go so well for them. The
head of household was not pinned… It was a FESTIVUS MIRACLE!
It’s this child’s birthday.. and just like all my children.. she has “issues”.
She likes to sleep.

She LOVES to model eBay stuff.
She modeled around 25 vintage nurse outfits one time..
#1 is famous in our home for her “looks” .. This is the “mildly amused,
but I’m still gonna smack you” look.
This is “annoyed.. but not speaking to you” look.
Most people would think this is a happy look.. but it’s not..
she’s actually angry that her brother took this photo when she was
not ready.
Stop.. Hammertime..
She loves coffee…
I’m serious.. she really loves it.
(why don’t you just marry it then?)
Speaking of marriage.. I’m married to that guy.. and what a
coincidence that’s #1’s dad too! Don’t they look cute? Do you want to know
what they were laughing at?

You know my husband (affectionately referred to as “The Man”) is
really a good dad. He makes sure his kids have coats, (me not so much.. it’s a real
problem with me. I hardly ever wear a coat and I hate carrying my kids coats. Does
that sort of explain my issue?), and he makes sure we all have a roof over our
heads (I do care about this more than the coats) 🙂 Chris Rock has a whole thing
he does about how Dad’s get no respect… and Mom’s get all the love… what does Daddy
get? “The big piece of chicken”.
That being said.. I love this photo.
I think he’s praying here.. that she doesn’t give him that face. He’ll have to say
“yes” if she does.
