Something’s Blooming

I'm not a gardener.  I wish I was. I try.. but I just don't like getting my hands dirty.  #1 and I have a deal.  I decide where things go, and buy the plants… and she does the gardening part.  Here are some of the fruits of years pasts labors. 🙂

Poppy, poppies, garden, english garden

My favorite flower… a poppy

Bee Balm,  with a poppy hiding behind it.. and some Salvia.

Phlox.

We transplanted 3 of these from the little house last year… they've taken over the garden from hell this year.

Pinterest Photo Challenge Day 16: Flower

Since the weather has been FANTASTIC this spring.. I have some flowers blooming!

clamatis

One of the clematis I have blooming.

Currently these are the flowers that are on my mind..

They are made by 222 Fifth and the pattern Mirelle Spring.

I've been looking for dishes I like since well 1992.  My current dishes are Fiesta and some newer white square dishes.  I've had the Fiesta ones since well.. let's just say a long time.  These would go great with my white!  I love the mugs and the shape of the bowls. 🙂

Dear Mr. Eads… please go to Home Goods and purchase these for me.  These would make me EVER so happy.  I love you.. and think you are cute. Love your wife…

My Bee Balm… is Cross Pollinating

This is Bee Balm. I love the stuff.  I love the way it looks and the way it smells.  It smells all mint-y and sage-ish.  But this Bee Balm.. this hot pink stuff was not planted in my garden by me.

Last year #1 found this purple bee balm growing wild in our back 20 acres.  She dug some of it up and planted it next to my original bee balm…

(my original bee balm.. it's kind of a bubble gum pink color)

See the short bubble gum pink bee balm.. that's the original stuff.  (Just ignore that BIG WEED…) The tall stuff all around it is the purple from the back field and the new stuff, the hot pink.

I don't understand how the cross pollination happened, why the stuff is so tall.  But I love it!
