Listening: to the news talk about the horrific tornado that happened in Oklahoma. I can not imagine the what those families are feeling right now. I am so sad for them.

Loving: that #1 and P*Tricky brought me a Sonic Iced Tea. I love a good iced tea, with crushed ice.  It makes me happy.

Thinking: about all the stuff I need to get done before the 2013 Youth Mission Trip to South Dakota.

  • plan the menu and get the grocery list together
  • morning devotions written
  • evening devotions written
  • make sure I have the right clothes
  • make sure the 3 kids I have going on the trip with me have what they need
  • plan for my business stuff while I'm away
  • itinerary plans for the trip
  • itinerary plans for the kids that stay home. (they are much happier and treat #1 better when I write down everything they are suppose to do)

Wanting: to find my STUPID car title.

Needing: (see above)

Stalking:  All paperwork in my house… because I'm looking for my stupid car title… :/

I Know What You Did This Summer…

A little re-cap of my Summer that went by way to fast…

May 2012

I helped my mother and father in law set up their estate sale.. This was so much fun!

Love these crock bowls!

I rescued a kitten that had been either thrown from a car or had been run over.

This is Bessie.  She's doing great!

We went to a birthday party and saw this kid dance..

#3 and #6 dancing

We learned that no matter how easy it is to get IN the recycling bin..

It's always harder to get out..

June 2012

I went on a Mission Trip to Ogala, South Dakota…

with these people….

When I came back from the trip.. I learned that we hung around someone that had Whooping Cough.. which means..

We all had to get shots.

My "wedding ring" turned 4 years old…

Who knew plastic would last this long?

July 2012

I took a bunch of kids out for my birthday…

Here's my rear view look of them. (you can't see #6 he's in a baby seat behind me and #1 is pumping gas)

Cute kids.

The Man, my mom and my siblings surprised me at one of my favorite places to eat..

My family.. that's a lot of kids 🙂

I went to quite a few estate sales, garage sales and rummage sales.  The coolest thing I found?

This wedding invitation from 1974.. that belonged to a couple I go to church with!

I did some cleaning..

but the place is still a mess..

My baby brother got married…

Pretty dang cute aren't they?

August 2012

I watched a lot of the Olympics.

We bought a "Drivers Ed" car

Cleaning out the Drivers Ed vehicle..

We took a little trip to the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art..

Whooping Cough – Shots- Doctor’s Visits and Ice Cream

If you've been reading  my blog you'd know I have 7 children and one husband.  If you do the math, that means there are 7 children and 2 adults.. for a total of 9 Eads.  Back on June 16th I took 3 of those children (along with 10 other children that are not mine) to Ogala, South Dakota for a Mission Trip.  I learned yesterday that one of those children (not mine) had THE WHOOPING COUGH.  (I like to use THE in front of things because it makes me laugh)

After consulting what seems like thousands of people… I decided to take all of us to the Dr for a dose of anti-depressants anti-biotics and then to the health department for our TDAP booster shots. (we were not up to-date.. what a shock).  Some of you might be thinking, "Why did you not get a vaccine at your Dr's office?  It's a pretty simple answer.. the Dr's office didn't have that many vaccines. :/

Have you ever wondered what 9 prescriptions look like with different people's name on them?

Here you go…

Filled

I went through the drive-thru to pick these up.  They had to give them to me in 2 different loads because they wouldn't all fit.

Filled my purse too…

SHOTS! (#3 and #4)

Shots! (#5 and #4)

#2

This kid was TOTALLY freaked out about getting a shot.  When it was over he said, "That's it?"

#6

This little muffin didn't even make a peep.. he just gave the nurse a dirty look.

I promised my kids if they didn't throw a fit.. I would buy them ice cream afterwards.  Yes, I am that kind of mother, it's worked for me.. for almost two decades.

#4 feeding his monster.

Proof #6 got his shot.. and that he ate some ice cream.

#3 and #1 eating their ice cream.

I would have taken a photo of #1's shot.. but she felt America was not ready for a photo of her arms. 😉

This chickie (#3.5) was up to date on her shots.. and she didn't cry so she got ice cream too 🙂
