Are Hat’s Cool? Should I wear one?

Last night I saw a strange site while running my children around Ottawa.. of course I didn’t have my camera ready.. and I was well, driving.

There was a woman walking out of the Franklin County Courthouse and she

had on the most fabulous hat.

(note.. this is a photo I took in the spring. I REALLY didn’t have my camera)

The mysterous hat woman of Franklin County Kansas started me thinking about wearing hats. I’m not really a hat wearer.. but if I was.. I would buy these.

1. This is a 1940’s Cocoa Straw Tilt Hat. I love the color.. the tilt-iness of it. (Is tilt-iness a word?) Here’s the link if you want to check it out: Cocoa Hat

2. Who doesn’t love a pink hat? I think it’s so cute! Antique 1910 Cloche Hat.

3. 1940’s Wide Brim Hat.. This one just might be my favorite. Huge Picture Hat

4. AAAHHH! I love this one.. I love the colors.. Flapper Hat with Beads

5. I wish this hat was on a head.. so we both could see how FABULOUS it really is. Vintage Pink Feather Hat

made so much smoke.

How cute is this kid? He’s one of #4’s good friends. Don’t you love

Present time.. Present time.. I believe this is “The Beatles Rock Band” notice all the boys

looking at it in awe?

I know this photo is blurry…. but can you see the DVD he got?

It’s Hogan’s Hero’s season two.. How cool is that kid?

You think he’ll wear this while he plays the Beatles Rock Band?

A phone for his 14th birthday? You think he’ll use it? 😉

Enjoying one of the gifts.

This is #2.. he’s programming all the important digits into the Birthday Boy’s phone.

I believe he was sending his sister a text message.

(she was sitting 10 feet away from him)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY my Sweet #1.5

(he’s #1.5 because he’s between #1 and #2 in age.. and I love him like he was my own)

OH.. and this is 1.5’s brother.. I love him like he was my own too.. I think he would be #2.5.

When I woke up this morning it was a little chilly. You know what that means?

Hey Mr President! We have a Heart Shape Potato too

Last night during the season premier of CSI Miami, there was a promo for David Letterman’s show. It showed a little teaser with President Obama and a heart shape potato.

#3 heard this promo and ran to take this photo of one of our potatoes.

You can see from the the first photo that the potato the president is holding.. it is quite a bit smaller

than our potato. #3 is pretty sure we should have been there giving the president our potato.

I’m not sure why I am blogging about potatoes, The President of the United States and David Letterman.. but it seemed like a good subject when I started.
