It’s a Surprise Birthday For Lorna Lou!

I totally missed my friend Lorna’s Birthday, (she has the Shotgun Mama Blog) because of this we thought we should throw her a little surprise party.

Here’s some photos of the event!

Here they come to put the sombero on Lorna’s head!

I think she might be a bit embarrassed!

Miguel got her with whip cream on her nose…

This is actually the second time she was wiping it off…

Happy Birthday Lorna! Even if it’s a bit late.

Happy Birthday To Me…

Today is my birthday.. I have mixed emotions about my birthdays. I mean I’m thankful to be here another year.. but I’m not amused about being older. I know.. I know some people say it means something to be older.. but to me I think our society makes people of a certain age irrelevant. I have felt irrelevant the majority of my life.. so it’s a shame NOW that I finally think I understand some of it, only to find out that I am thought of as irrelevant. Does that make sense?

Enough with my wining.. lets see what was going on here today…. The cutest thing happened last night, #4 slept on the floor in my bedroom so he could be the first to tell me Happy Birthday.. How sweet is that? I took ALL of the monkey’s to lunch today and we ran a few errands… I don’t know why I didn’t take very many photos of that…

I went to dinner with a few friends to celebrate my birthday.. and to celebrate our church’s Christian Ed Director (she’s awesome) 🙂

I received this super cute.. handmade scrapbook.. (this is just one page of it) I love it!

After dinner I headed home to have some cake with the family 🙂

Don’t you love the banner? I’m not sure why it says “SUZIE” instead of “MOM”.

#3, #5, #4 showing the super cool banner and paper chain they made.

This is one of the cool things I got for my birthday.. No not the dork on the left..(you know #2)

That’s a Starbucks Insulated tumbler. It’s acrylic, and is made to look like one of the Starbucks glasses they handout.

I’ve wanted one for awhile.. but couldn’t find one. Except on eBay where they go for quite a pretty penny..

(what is a pretty penny?)

OOOH.. I wanted some new RED rubber scrapers.. and I got them!

(I keep telling The Man I am a simple woman.. with simple needs)

Here’s 4 of the 5… waiting for the cake..

#4 eyeballing my cake..

Some of my loot…

Who doesn’t want some pink shox? (besides The Man.. he thinks they are UGLY)

I also got this firm pillow top mattress. Which #4 and #5 love..

Look how nice it looks made…

It was a good birthday. I’m going to work on that whole being irrelevant thing..

#1 Turns 24.. and She Saved a Turtle

I took child #1 out for her birthday.  Our first stop Chick-fil-a for a chicken biscuit and then to Starbucks for an iced coffee with “THIS MUCH MILK”.  (hold your hand up and use your index and thumb to show about 2″).  These things make #1 really happy.

We shopped for a while, tried on lots of clothes… So much so that even I was tired of seeing “if those pants fit”.

Then we headed to Pei Wei.  Have you ever eaten at Pei Wei? It’s awesome and I’ll be reveiwing it soon.. at www.asktheebayqueen.com/ebay_queen_reviews

#1 and her most Fabulous Aunt

After Lunch we shopped some more, and then headed home.  We were almost to the low water bridge… when we spotted a turtle in the middle of the road.

I warned her that it would potty on her if she picked it up.. and true to turtle form.. it did.. but I didn’t get a photo of that. 🙁

He started to peek out.. but never opened up..

#1 puts the turtle safely on the other side of the road.
