I went to a Christmas Party and a Fight Broke Out..

Sunday we went to The Man’s parents house to celebrate Christmas with them.  I affectionately call my mother and father in law Ward and June Cleaver.  I’ve done this because The Man has always referred to his childhood as living the life of The Cleavers.. you know the show “Leave it to Beaver” ?

I don’t know if you can see Sam (he’s the cat with the green arrow above his head).

This photo reminds me of him being a “basement cat” from that cute site Icanhascheezburger.

The day started out great… the stockings were hung…

The men were relaxing.  That’s The Man and his baby brother.. oh and

#2’s there in the back and black.

Here’s #4 and his uncle.  They are pretty cute huh?

(oh and they both are single… 🙂 You’ll have to wait a while for #4 though)

It was a pretty normal family Christmas party.. trees, stockings, food, family.. until we got

to the presents.  Here’s #2.. nothing too weird here.

We have #4 opening is rocket ship.. This kid loves space.  He’s going to be

the first kid from our little town on the Moon.

Here’s #4 and his uncle “the punk” playing with the rocket..

Then we came to #5.. he’s been wanting one of these for a LONG time.

He loves Transformers, and this Bumblebee Voice Changer Helmet is

a perfect gift for this kid.

Here #2 and my mother in law “June” (without the pearls and heels)

watching  the festivities.

Wait.. what’s this? It looks like #4 has found something..

Could it be?  Did #5 leave the Bumblebee helmet UNATTENDED?

Holy Smokes.. #4 has been spotted with the helmet. That blur there is

#5 coming over to get his helmet back.  Can you see the Bumblebee

Transformer car he dropped on the floor?

He’s not happy…

He’s working  up to throwing a fit…

inlawxmas18Wait.. The Man busts into the room to save the day…

Peace and Order is restored and #4 gave him the helmet back.  Whew…

melt down diverted to another day.

Things to come.. or an excuse..

I spent this weekend doing all kinds of things.. Shopping, volunteering, baking, Christmas Parties, Babysitting my favorite niece and nephew and Family Christmas parties. I’m tired.. it’s been a busy weekend.  I wanted to blog about my the family party I went to.. (The Man’s side)… but I’m too tired..

.. so I’m going to leave you with this photo..

Do you know who this is?

What I am NOT Buying the Kids for Christmas this Year

Here are some things my kids ARE NOT getting for Christmas… but I know they would like to have.

#1 is not a short girl.. and loves high heels. I know she would love these Christian Louboutin Red Mary Janes. If only I could spend $299.99 on a pair of shoes. Want to see them? Go Here

#2 loves Legos. I’m pretty sure he’s not going to get this Lego City lot with the Corner Cafe, Green Grocer and Fire Brigade. It’s pretty cool but freezes my wallet up for $485.00 + shipping. Want to see it? Go Here

#3 really likes her American Girl Doll Stuff. There were several nice lots on eBay, but I think this one was the nicest.. all retired stuff. But well.. she’s not getting it. $985.00 See it HERE

#4 Really wants a remote control helicopter. I’ve tried and tried to explain to him that remote control helicopters are not made for 6 year olds.. These are about $269.00 Check it out HERE.

#5 Loves Transformers… I don’t mean he loves them like he plays with them. I mean he loves them like he can recite the lines from both movies.. like when he wakes up in the morning he looks to see if “Bumblebee” has shown up at the house.. like his last name is Wyckwicki.. He’s obsessed! When I was looking through the Transformers stuff on eBay he saw a yellow 2010 Chevrolet Camero (painted like Bumblebee).. he wanted it.. But I decided on this: Transformers entire collection: price $15,000.00 check it out HERE.

Aluminum Christmas Trees Not Your Grandmother’s Tree!

A few years ago I bought a couple of 7 foot Aluminum Christmas trees in the DEAD of summer. Why would someone buy a Christmas Tree during summer? To sell on eBay .. duh…

Cute vintage Reynolds Aluminum ad.

I wish I still had the photos that I took of that tree I purchased, and sold on eBay… but at the time, I had NO IDEA I would write a blog about things I sold in the past.

Let's pretend this is my living room.. and that's #4 and #5..

See that tree.. my tree looked like that (except no

decorations or tree skirt).

I was really lucky with my tree I bought.. it not only had a tree,

but it had like 30+ extra branches. I grouped the branches

in lots of 5 and sold them for 34.99 each set.

This is a really good representation of the tree. I purchased it really cheap in the summer. I

held onto it until after Thanksgiving and made a nice chunk of change on it. Sometimes it's good

to wait to sell stuff!
